Using the “Right Tools”

It seems like everyone online is pitching the latest and greatest productivity or business toll that will finally be the perfect tool to make you more productive.

I’ve been that guy who goes out of my way to test every new thing that comes along searching for the latest and greatest, and you know where it got me…

Right back where I started.

You might feel productive, but are you actually being productive?

More tools rarely equal more productivity…

…it’s just the opposite.

Instead, you need the right tools for YOU.

Tools should be as unique to the specific job or skill they accompany.

Sure you can use a shoe to pound a nail, but a hammer is really the right tool for the job.

Across the internet I see so many productivity and business writers trying to convince you that they know what tools are best for you.

Do they really understand your specific needs or circumstances?

Most of the time the tools you have and already use are the best for your situation. You just need to know how to use them more effectively.

I can’t tell you what tools are right for you and your situation, but I can share the tools I use every day to get work done and how I get the most out of them.

Here’s to using the right tool for the job!
